Medical Ethics & Safety Policy

This page describes the ethical principles and safety standards that guide every treatment at our clinic in Ataşehir, Istanbul. Patient safety, transparent information and honest expectation management form the basis of our medical practice.

1

Informed Consent

No procedure is performed at our clinic without the patient's written informed consent. During the consultation, the planned treatment, available alternatives, expected effects and possible risks are explained in clear, understandable language. Patients have the right to ask questions at every stage, and consent is not considered complete until all questions have been answered. We encourage patients to take time to reflect before deciding; no pressure is placed on anyone to proceed on the same day. The signed consent form is kept in the patient file.

2

Realistic Expectation Management

Results in medical aesthetics vary with age, skin quality and individual anatomy. A face-to-face examination is therefore required for every patient; an assessment based on photographs alone is only a preliminary opinion and never replaces a treatment decision. We do not guarantee the outcome of any procedure. When there is a mismatch between a patient's expectations and what is medically achievable, we prefer to postpone or decline treatment. Honest information is, in our view, a precondition for patient satisfaction.

3

Contraindication Screening

A detailed medical history is taken before every procedure, covering chronic conditions, previous treatments, current medications and dietary supplements. The relevant procedures are not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in the presence of active infection in the treatment area, or in certain autoimmune and neuromuscular conditions. Candidates found medically unsuitable after screening are not treated; where appropriate, they are referred to the relevant specialty. This assessment is an essential part of patient safety.

4

Complication Management

Although rare, every medical procedure carries a risk of complications, and our clinic follows written emergency protocols for such situations. Hyaluronidase and other emergency products are kept available at all times for filler treatments. Our team receives regular training in the early recognition of vascular complications. After every procedure, patients have access to a contact line that is reachable around the clock. In situations that exceed the scope of our clinic, patients are referred to an appropriate medical facility without delay.

5

Product Authenticity and Traceability

We use only original products that are licensed in Turkey and obtained from authorised distributors. The lot number of every product is recorded in the patient file, ensuring full traceability. Products requiring cold-chain storage are kept under temperature-monitored conditions. The product box is opened in front of the patient and shown on request; authenticity can be verified together via the QR or data-matrix code. No product of unclear origin or with damaged packaging is ever used.

6

Sterile Practice and Clinic Safety

All injection materials are single-use; needles, cannulas and syringes are never reused under any circumstances. Skin antisepsis is performed according to standard protocols before every treatment, and hand hygiene and sterile gloves are mandatory for each procedure. Treatment areas are disinfected regularly. Medical waste is separated in line with regulations and disposed of through licensed providers. Our clinical safety procedures are reviewed and updated at regular intervals.

7

Follow-up and Responsibility

Primum non nocere — "first, do no harm" — is the fundamental principle of this clinic. Follow-up appointments are scheduled after every procedure, and the course of treatment is documented in a photographic archive created with the patient's consent. All treatments are recorded in detail. Before-and-after images are shared only with the patient's written permission, presented realistically and without filters or retouching. Our responsibility does not end with the procedure; it continues throughout the recovery period.
