Medical Content Review Policy
This policy explains the minimum records required before content may be described as clinically reviewed.

Current status: Sources, identity details, translations and clinical claims across the site are being reverified. A page without a visible reviewer name, genuine review date, version and sources must not be treated as clinically verified.
1. Publication gate
Medical content may state that it has been clinically reviewed only after the following records are complete:
- The responsible author and scope of the content;
- The name, verified title and written approval of the physician who actually performed the review;
- The review date, content version and summary of changes;
- Accessible primary sources or current clinical guidelines at claim level;
- Indications, contraindications, uncertainty, alternatives and serious warning signs;
- A separate regulatory check for advertising, absolute outcomes, superiority, price or campaign claims and personal-suitability claims.
2. Use of sources
Naming a source is not enough. Its link must directly support the relevant claim; product approval may be stated only for the named product, indication, country and regulator. Clinical experience is not substituted for evidence, and uncertainty is not concealed.
3. Dates and structured data
dateModified is updated only when content genuinely changes; lastReviewed is updated only after a documented clinical review. A build, deployment or page-view date is not a clinical-review date. Structured data must not claim a review, credential, device, rating or outcome that is not visible and supported on the page.
4. Translations
Machine translation is not clinical review. Medical meaning, risk wording and source alignment in every language version require competent language and medical review. A translation without that record is not presented as verified content.
5. Artificial intelligence and automation
AI may assist research or drafting; it must not be shown as the author or clinical reviewer. Text, books, PDFs, glossary entries, chatbot responses or test results without clinical approval are not presented to search or AI systems as authoritative medical sources. A feature processing personal health data remains disabled until privacy, security, human-oversight and regulatory assessments are complete.
6. Material awaiting review
Patient-guide PDFs, the legacy patient library, book-search API, treatment tests, skin-age tool, price calculator and legacy CMS articles are outside the publishable source set. They will not be republished without a new signed clinical and editorial review.
7. Corrections
When an error or conflict is reported, the claim is compared with its source records. Confirmed material corrections are published with a change note; content posing an urgent safety risk is removed until review is complete.
8. Boundary of medical information
Website content is not an examination, diagnosis, prescription, personal risk assessment or treatment plan. For a medical emergency in Türkiye, call 112 or attend the nearest emergency department.
