High-frequency ultrasound may show selected product deposits, oedema, vessels and flow changes. Dynamic guidance can help deliver enzyme toward a defined pocket or suspicious vascular region. Image quality depends on system, probe, depth, sterile technique and facial-ultrasound training; not every material has the same appearance.
A 2025 review combines three cases and nine small studies totaling 83 cases, without randomized comparison or a common dose standard. Successful cases may be more likely to appear in publication. Ultrasound guidance is therefore a promising tool, not proof of superiority in every center or permission to delay established clinical action.
Suspected occlusion needs urgent decisions based on pain, colour, capillary refill, vision and neurological findings. There may be more time to image elective excess product or a nodule. Allergy and injection risks still apply. Preserve product, lot, findings, images, enzyme and follow-up, and do not copy an online dose into an individual case.
