Editorial general information — not a clinical-review record

A high particle count does not show that every particle is an exosome or that free protein, lipoproteins and cell debris have been removed. A purity claim needs the starting source, separation method, particle-to-protein context, negative markers and lot-specific analysis.

Cell-culture medium, serum, tissue extract or a biological fluid may contain free proteins, protein complexes, lipoproteins, nucleic acids and cellular debris alongside EVs. Precipitation, filtration, size separation and centrifugation create different trade-offs between recovery and purity. When a manufacturer reports only 'high protein' or 'billions of particles', vesicle identity and the rest of the mixture may remain undefined.
Review lot-specific particle and protein measurements and, where meaningful, their ratio, source-related contaminants such as albumin and markers of intracellular residue. MISEV does not provide one universal purity number; sample type and intended purpose matter. Counts from two products cannot be compared directly without the instrument, calibration, detection limit and sample preparation.
A fraction that appears purer in a laboratory is not automatically more effective or safer on skin. Sterility, endotoxin, mycoplasma, biological activity, carrier ingredients, storage and human evidence are separate questions. Treatment may be deferred when source, lot and analysis certificate are unavailable. A marketing chart is not independent audit evidence or proof of current Turkish authorization.
